The shrine was added to the World Heritage List as a part of the Fuji-san Cultural Sites. It is the head shrine of 1,300 Shingen shrines throughout Japan. Mount Fuji is worshiped as Goshintai (the sacred body of the god). It is the centre of Mount Fuji faith.

This pond is the spiritual spot located in the Fuji-san Hongu Sengen Taisha. It is filled with Mt Fuji’s snowmelt water which has passed through a layer of volcanic rocks.

This shrine was added to the World Heritage List as a part of the Fuji-san Cultural Sites. It is considered to be the oldest shrine of 1,300 Sengen shrines in the country. There are the Yohaijyo (the place to worship Mount Fuji from afar) and sacred trees. There is no Honden building but the ritual ruin.

Murayama Sengen Shrine
It was added to the World Heritage List as a part of Fuji san Cultural Site. There are Sengen Shrine and Dainichi-do in the precinct and the god and the Buddha are enshrined together. In the old days, this area was prospered because there was the old Mount Fuji trail with many hostels. However, the area has become quieter now since the new road was built.

Hitoana Fujikou Iseki
It is added to the World Heritage List as a part of Fuji-san Cultural site. It is a holy place that Kakugyo Hasegawa, the founder of the Fuji confraternity, did ascetic practice in the 16th- 17th Century. In the surrounding area, there are more than 200 monuments built by the Fuji confraternity believers.

Jinba Falls
This waterfall is named after Minamotono- Yoritomo putting a camp near here when he came on a hunt. Water is clear and cold throughout the year.
The Jinma Waterfall Festival takes place here every August

Kotanuki Wetlands
This is the only marsh at the foothills of Mount Fuji and dotted with a number of small ponds.
You can see a lot of creatures and plants which are peculiar to marshes, especially abundant butterflies and dragonflies.
It is located at the North of Lake Tanuki so visit the lake as well.

Museum
The Kiseki Museum of World Stones
The museum exhibits its collection of strange-shaped and unusual looking stones (minerals, rocks, fossils and meteorites) from all over the world as well as ones found in Japan.

Garden Park
Fuji Kachoen Garden Park
This is a flower paradise with a selection of begonias and fuchsias from around the world. You can enjoy flowers throughout the year in the greenhouse. There are 30 species, total of 100 owls from all over the world.
